The Dance curriculum is structured
to teach students both musicality
and discipline. Through dance,
students develop their gross motor
coordination, balance, stamina,
strength, spatial perception and
confidence.
Students also learn the vocabulary
of dance, which fosters a deeper
appreciation of this art form. They
are exposed to the many different
cultures which use dance as a form
of communication, ritual, and
performance in South Africa and
abroad. Instructors also teach
students how to connect music to
movement, transforming the classroom
into a space of uninhibited
expression and enjoyment.
