The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls is totally funded by the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation. All the costs associated with the girls’ high school education including their tuition, boarding, co-curricular activities, excursions, transport etc. are covered by their full scholarships at the Academy.
 
The Academy’s benefactor will continue this commitment.

However, over the past five years many people, who share in Oprah’s dream for these young girls, have requested that a channel be created where they too can contribute financially.
 
Inline with this, the OWLAF College Fund (in USA) and the TOWLAF Scholarship Fund (in SA) have been designed solely for that purpose. These funds will be used to help the girls further their education at colleges and universities around the world. In order to ensure that the funding is used for the tertiary education of OWLAG graduates, they will be administered by the OWLAF.

No matter how small the contribution may seem to you – it is life changing for these girls. They fully appreciate that their “education is their tomorrow”.
 
The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation is incorporated in the state of Illinois and is a 501(c)(3) private operating foundation. Your contributions to OWLAF are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Please note that due to logistical and other constraints, we can only accept monetary contributions at this stage and not “in-kind” donations.
