The Personal Project is the culmination of the Middle Years Programme, which involves seven months of thorough research and organisation with the aim of preparing an Independent Investigation Task and the writing of a report by all Grade 10 students.
At the end of the process the entire school gathers to view these impressive displays and listen to the individual oral presentations. Viewers ask questions and offer their praises on a job well done. The Projects are finally subjected to vigorous assessment by an assessment team.
A special awards assembly is then held for the announcement of top achievers in the assessment and those who receive the highest votes for the most impressive displays and/or engaging presentations.
Afterwards, award recipients dine out with the MYP 5 Coordinator – Miss Michele Marnitz and the Personal Project Coordinator – Ms Sibusisiwe Thembela.
